Punjab will help fight disease in K-P  

Team of senior experts was sent to Peshawar on the direction of the chief minister

LAHORE: Punjab Primary & Secondary Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir said that the provincial government would extend all out cooperation and help to our brethren of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) to overcome dengue epidemic.

The minister stated this while speaking to media on Saturday. He further said that Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had already announced to extend help, technical expertise and resources for the purpose. He said the chief minister had responded immediately to the request of people of K-P for extending help to control dengue in their province.

Khawaja Imran Nazir said that a team of senior experts was sent to Peshawar on the direction of the chief minister whereas mobile health unit from Mianwali had also been moved to Peshawar to provide medical assistance to patients. The minister disclosed that technical teams from Punjab were also carrying chemicals used in fogging and sprays besides distributing printed literature to create awareness among the people of K-P.
