Two 'militants' killed by security forces in Balochistan's Hoshab

QUETTA: Two suspected militants were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in the Hoshab area of Kech district, Balochistan on Sunday.

Official sources said security forces had launched a search operation in the Thalsar area of Hoshab after being tipped off about the presence of militants there.

During the operation, the militants opened fire on the security forces, forcing the latter to retaliate.

Targeted operation ‘to be intensified’ in Balochistan

Two militants were killed in a gun battle that lasted for an hour.

They were identified as Wahag and Washdil, both residents of Thalsar.

Their bodies were shifted to the district hospital for medico-legal formalities and then handed over to their families.

The sources said the two men were members of a banned outfit.

A few days ago, security forces killed four suspected militants in a gun battle in the Kanak area of Mastung district and recovered a huge quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives from their hideouts.
