Ahsan said the government would fully support the G-B government in a bid to maintain peace in the region.

Earlier this year, G-B Minister Excise and Taxation Haider Khan was hopeful that CPEC would speed up economic activity and overcome unemployment from the province.

He said the provincial government was devising a strategy to utilise the natural resources of G-B for development. The government is giving special attention to the promotion of tourism, energy and road infrastructure, the minister added.
