Pakistani pilgrims in Makkah laud government's Hajj scheme

Four star accommodations with comfortable rooms have been provided

Pilgrims who are in Makkah currently for the performance of Hajj this year have commended the initiatives taken by the Saudi government to facilitate their stay, Radio Pakistan reports.

Speaking to Radio Pakistan, Khalid Mustafa, a senior journalist, who is performing Hajj under the government's scheme said he is extremely happy to see the facilities including food, accommodation, transport and medical care available to the Hujjaj by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

He said the Hujjaj are being well taken care of. He also suggested that the guides need to be trained on a more professional level so that they can better help the pilgrims.

Interacting with Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Zahid Hameed in Makkah, Khalid Mustafa, a senior journalist who is performing Hajj under the government scheme, said he is extremely happy to see the facilities being provided by the ministry of religious affairs, including that of transport, accommodation, food and medical care available to the Hujjaj.

He said Pakistani Hujjaj have not been abandoned, but are being well taken care of. Another pilgrim, Dr Iftikhar Ahmad Baig, who is an educationist by profession said that round-the-clock transport is available to the Hujjaj.

Four star accommodation with comfortable rooms have also been provided. Dr Taimur Ahmad said the government’s hajj package is not only inexpensive but was a great facilitator also.

He did suggest that the guides be trained on professional lines so that they could better help the Hujjaj. They also expressed confidence in the government continuing its efforts to further reinforce the arrangements in the future.
