ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director Abdul Ghafoor Khan met with Latvian Honorary Consul General in Pakistan Iftikhar Rasul Ghuman to fasten the bilateral relations on tourism cooperation between the two countries. He said that there are a lot more common tourism features between Pakistan and Latvia, which include cultural and archaeological heritage as well as beach tourism, which can be jointly publicised to reap benefits. Pakistan’s coastal belt spreads over 1,000km where countless opportunities for investment are available, he said, adding that beach resorts will be made to attract tourists. The consul general said that the tourist flow between the two countries is very low due to less information in addition to absence of proper embassies in both the countries.
