PU students shine on TV 

Co-curricular activities were organised by Pakistan Television (PTV) in order to celebrate Pakistan's Independence Day

LAHORE: Punjab University students have shown outstanding performances and received prominent positions in the co-curricular activities organised by Pakistan Television (PTV) in order to celebrate the 70th Independence Day of Pakistan.

The students, including Atif Shafiq and Shahzad Abbas, clinched first positions in the PTV Azadi Quiz competition and took home cash prizes worth Rs30,000 at the Lahore Centre. In the final round in Islamabad, these students received second position with the cash prize also of Rs30,000.

In the Pakistan Speaks Debate competition, organised by PTV Lahore Centre, students including Shabahat Qamar, Abdul Haseeb and Shaista Fajar participated as a team and won the trophy. They also won a cash prize of Rs30,000 in the Urdu language debate competition.
