Russians have seriously taken up the challenge to imitate their president Vladimir Putin by posting topless pictures.

These images are posted by the charismatic leader’s fans to pay homage to his leadership. It all started when founder of the social networking sites VKontakte and Telegram Pavel Durov began the #PutinShirtlessChallenge with a picture of himself.

Durov made the challenge after the Russian president was photographed topless enjoying the Siberian summer.

Men took it upon themselves to show off their torso and in an unconventional way pay tribute to the Russian leader.
