Atif Aslam and Indian rapper Badshah are all set to join hands at scoring the spotlight in Dubai - and all for a good cause. Both musicians will be seen spreading a message of peace through their tuneful vocals when they perform live in the emirates on September 7, reported Khaleej Times.

The icons from India and Pakistan will perform in The Dubai Sports City 2 Nation Music gig, crooning to their respective hits, before coming together for the four-hour show’s grand finale.

Teaser of Fawad Khan's comeback song is out and it also features Atif Aslam!

Speaking to Gulf News tabloid!, Dubai Sports City’s event manager, Salman Hanif stated, “India and Pakistan are two of the biggest communities we have in the UAE and the idea was to bring them together with a message of peace and unity on one stage. We plan to make this an annual event.”

Hanif said the event will be themed around the Independence Day celebrations for both countries, with flags, banners and music to tie it all together.

Syed Saad, Managing Director of organisers Mirchi Entertainment, added, “We are expecting a strong crowd of 8,000 plus spectators, as both artists command a large fan following in the UAE. We felt such a concert was important in today’s political climate, especially one with a message that says music has no boundaries.”
