According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Rangers Punjab along with police and intelligence agencies carried seperate intelligence based operations in Attock, DG Khan and Lahore.
“During the last 72 hours, seven terrorists and 20 Afghan suspects were apprehended,” the military’s media wing said in a statement. A huge quantity of explosives, illegal/automatic weapons and ammunition [also seized]”.

The terrorists, the statement added, are affiliated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and Tehreek-e-Taliban Swat.
“The explosives and weapons were likely to be used for terrorist activities in major cities of Punjab,” it claimed.
Nationwide raids are being conducted as part of the continuing military offensive, Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad against "latent threat of terrorism".
