Timely issuance of NOCs to help avoid delays

Minor complaints of below standard restoration work will be addressed in no time

LAHORE: In order to avoid damages, delays and expedite the pace of development work, Punjab Safe Cities Authority would issue NOCs to other agencies for their development work maximum within one week.

Commissioner Lahore Division Abdullah Khan Sumbal made these remarks on Tuesday while chairing a meeting regarding improving coordination between Punjab Safe City Project in Lahore and other agencies on Tuesday. SSP Operations Athar Ismael, Project Management Specialist Ali Shamsher, Additional Commissioner Usman Khan Khalid, Director Development Amjad Chuadhry, ACR Asif Raza and focal persons from WASA, LDA, LESCO, SNGPL and PHA participated in the meeting.



The commissioner said minor complaints of below standard restoration work would be addressed in no time. He said strong coordination was the need of the hour and future to avoid damages to fibre-optic cable which is laid in a very large area of the city. He said that any damage to fibre cable could compromise the security and safety functions of safe cities project.

Rs 213 billion set aside for South Punjab development 

Punjab Safe Cities Project is not only a safety and security key of Lahore city but also improve the traffic management of the city. Over 1,066 kilometres fibre-optic cable has been laid and backfilled by this date and remaining work of laying in 124 kilometres in process.
