BAHAWALPUR: Foolproof security arrangements have been made for Independence Day in Bahawalpur.
Elaborate security plan chalked out for capital
This was said by Regional Police Officer Riffat Mukhtar Raja while speaking to The Express Tribune on Sunday. He said Independence Day events will be held on 37 locations and for the purpose, strict security plan had been chalked out.
He added 1,820 police officials will be deployed, including 820 police volunteers, 177 traffic police officials, 32 elite commando squads, 61 quick response force teams along with 54 police mobiles and 75 motorcycle squads.
Lahore police finalise security plan for August 14
The RPO maintained strict action will be taken against anti-social elements and leniency will not be tolerated in this regard. He said cases will be registered against wheelie doers, those resorting to aerial firing and violating sound system ordinance.
