No room for political jugglers, says Shehbaz

Stresses that masses have rejected politics of deceit and sit-ins

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said on Wednesday that there is no room for political jugglers in Pakistani.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Shehbaz slammed opponents for what he called “defacing the country”.

“Deceits, sit-ins and unsubstantiated accusations have become the pivot of their politics. Similarly, U-turns, mendacity and double standards in every matter are part of their routine. These elements have brought allegations, vilifications and bad behaviour into politics,” he said.

He added Imran Khan and his PTI party have been involved in conspiracies and allegations against the incumbent government from the first day. “They are the ones creating hurdles in national development.



He said Nawaz Sharif furthered the development process without being discouraged by the accusations of his opponents. “The prosperity in Pakistan over the last four years is evident for all to see. Nawaz Sharif has taken numerous historic steps to make Pakistan stronger and peaceful. He lives in the hearts of 200 million Pakistanis due to his love for the country and the people.”

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the chief minister said people were sick of those involved in the politics of deceit.

“They have rejected political conjurers in the last elections and these elements will meet the same fate in future as well.”

Shehbaz said the country does not belong to any particular party and it was the duty of everybody to make it stronger and more prosperous by working jointly. “We owe everything to Pakistan, including our politics. Any effort to promote anarchy and chaos in the name of development and prosperity would tantamount to enmity with the country. The elements trying to sabotage the development process should realise facts because people have rejected the politics of hate; while they have full affection with the sincere leadership,” he said.

“The world will be witness to the fate of politics of falsehood and hypocrisy. The ‘sit-in elements’ are afraid of the popularity of Nawaz Sharif and this growing popularity of a public leader is frightening them.”



Eulogising the elder brother, Shehbaz said Nawaz was a great leader who would rid the nation of the menace of load-shedding. “Under his leadership, the goal of a peaceful, prosperous and developed Pakistan was achieved.

Shehbaz also claimed that prosperous economy, enduring peace and foreign investment were historic steps taken by Nawaz Sharif. “Billions of rupees were saved by following the policy of transparency in development projects.

“Pakistan has been put on the road to development and prosperity due to the untiring efforts of PML-N leadership. It will emerge as a stronger party in the next elections,” he said.

Shehbaz said the opponents of the party have done nothing over the last four years except promote chaos and anarchy in the country.
