ISLAMABAD: In a harrowing triple homicide case, a man and two women were found murdered inside a house in Tarnol on Monday morning. Faces of all three victims had been badly mutilated by the unidentified killers.

Police said all three victims were tortured with knives and bricks and their faces and heads were brutally bashed up. The deceased man was identified as Saeedullah, while the two women had not been identified till the filing of this report by Monday evening. Police, however, said that the two women were mother and daughter.

It was also not clear whether the women were related to Saeedullah. Officials said the investigations had just started and they have yet to ascertain motive behind the killing was not clear and neither had the killers been identified yet.

A police officer told The Express Tribune that the incident had taken place sometime on Sunday night but was reported to the police in the morning. Police said the victims had come to Islamabad from Buner district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa a few days ago. The family was living in a house in Sangjani near Tarnol.

Blood in the drainage

On Monday morning, the house owner spotted blood in the drainage and, on suspicion, informed the police.

A contingent of Tarnol police reached the place and broke open the door. The house was splattered with blood. They shifted the bodies of the victims to hospital for autopsies and other legal formalities.

An officer said that they had found some clues and a police team had been dispatched to Buner for arrest of the suspects. He said the FIR had not been registered yet.

Islamabad, though relatively peaceful, has seen more than 50 murder cases so far this year. Two people were also gunned down and four injured in a land dispute on July 23.
