Fashion roundup: Maybelline New York’s #MakerWomen bash

'MakaerWoman' faces challenges by standing up and making her voice heard

Entertainment Desk August 03, 2017

Maybelline New York held a soirée in Karachi to celebrate women who make ‘It’ happen. For the renowned brand, “a ‘MakerWoman’ is someone who wakes up every morning and walks out into the world like it’s her own. She owns it. She faces challenges by standing up and making her voice heard”. She embraces life and is proud of her individuality. She is bold, fierce and unstoppable. Above all, she believes in her ability to #MakeItHappen. She is a movement.'

In attendance at the event were a bevy of stars from the entertainment, fashion, film and acting fraternities but three powerhouses stood out at the event – for good and bad reason.

Sana Bucha

The Yalghaar diva most certainly left an imprint on our hearts at the star-studded bash. Donning a silk kaftan that exuded class and nonchalant ease, Sana was a classic head turner who modestly owned her look. The best part? She kept her look understated, unlike many other bombshells who graced the event. Keeping her hair and makeup delicate and subtle, Sana was effortlessly charming. Seems like she was the ‘unstoppable it woman,’ the brand was celebrating!

Adeel Hussain

The Jackson Heights cutie was slick in a well-fitted all-grey suit teamed with a lighter toned skinny tie. The actor rocked his signature stubble with panache and his glossy black shoes polished up the rest of his look. Though, we wish the star had experimented a bit more with colour and cuts of the suit to avoid being mundane but overall, he gets a thumbs up for donning a neat ensemble!

Ayesha Omer

Ayesha OmarAli Zafar is slaying hearts by doing unbelievable stunts for 'Teefa In Trouble'
Three words: What happened Ayesha? The Karachi Se Lahore actor just didn’t look like herself at the event. She debuted a fuller pout but regrettably, it didn’t save her look! We sincerely urge her to invest in a new stylist ASAP because her garb was anything but graceful. In fact, it appeared voraciously tacky – the sheer net details over a gaudy pattern just didn’t work. And someone needs to tell the Bulbulay diva that the overdone peplum style is long gone (thank God for that!), so she needs to move on from it!
