Welcome MQM in Punjab: Firdous

Awan says on MQM should be welcomed in Punjab for playing a role in national mainstream politics.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Sunday that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) should be welcomed in Punjab for playing a role in national mainstream politics.

Talking to PTV, the Information Minister said that the government wanted to maintain a political environment in the country, where all political parties could work to resolve people’s problems in accordance with their manifestoes.

Urging all political parties to welcome MQM in Punjab, she said that the PPP was not intimidated by any political party, adding that her party would support any party which wanted to solve people’s problems.
