Amid Chinese investment, technical education on a roll
He was addressing a meeting at TEVTA secretariat on Wednesday. Apart from bringing international master trainers to Pakistan, TEVTA is also working for sending its students to developed countries for training.
Technology first: TEVTA to bump up IT students to 60,000
The chairman confirmed that the authority would send 4000 students to China this year. He added that they intended to send around 10,000 students to China but in the first phase they had decided to send 4,000 students. “We are trying to send 30% to 40% female students to China for training and all expenses will be met by TEVTA.”
These students will be able to get benefit from the opportunities created by China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he said.
