Female crocodile gives birth to hatchlings

Zoo curator maintained all three hatchlings were healthy

BAHAWALPUR: A female crocodile gave birth to three hatchlings in Bahawalpur Zoo on Tuesday.

The total number of crocodiles rose to five, Zoo’s Curator Ayub Sabir told journalists. He said, “It is an honour for Bahawalpur Zoo that a female crocodile gave birth to three hatchlings. Several steps were taken to facilitate the process of reproduction. We put sand in the pond of crocodiles so that the female crocodile could lay eggs in it.”

Sabir maintained all three hatchlings were healthy while people were visiting the zoo to have a glimpse of the new crocodiles.
