British model and dancer Scarlett Wilson, who featured in the popular song Manohari from SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning, slapped a man on the sets of her forthcoming movie when he tried to hit on her.

It reportedly happened on the sets of Bollywood film Hansa – Ek Sanyog which features Scarlett in an item song. Actor Umakant Rai was spotted making vulgar gestures towards her. Wilson lost her cool when he tried to touch her hair. She brought the shoot to a halt and stormed out of the sets.

The crew members told a TV channel that Wilson slapped Rai who was soon thrown off the sets.

The channel then spoke to film’s producer Suresh Sharma who is keen on filing a complaint with the Film Federation of India, and expecting an apology from Rai.

If he did not apologise, his acting licence could be cancelled.

Wilson came to India in 2009 to work in Bollywood and began modelling. She also assisted on choreography for the TV show Chak Dhoom Dhoom and worked across many cities in various projects including television and commercial ads with actors like Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan.  tied the knot with Emotional Atyachar's host Pravesh Rana on August 25, 2016.

She has worked with numerous choreographers including Bosco-Caesar who recommended her to director Dibakar Banerjee.

However the fact that she has been working in India for 8 years means that such experiences are N exception rather than the rule. The producer who was also an Indian supported her. Your comment implying that this incident is a reflection on Indians as a community is off base.
