Short circuit: Woman killed, 2 injured in fire

Forty-year-old woman dies and her children severely injured in a fire.

FAISALABAD: In Ghulam Muhammad Abad’s Saddar area a forty-year-old woman died and her children were severely injured in a fire on Sunday.

According to police officials, the fire was set off due to an electric short circuit.

Saddar Bazaar hotel owner Nazir Ahmed’s tenant Nasir’s double storey house caught fire on Sunday due to a short circuit and Nasir Iqbal’s wife Sobia Bibi died in the fire and his daughter Kashifa,13, and son Daniyal, 14, were injured.

Rescue 1122 teams put out the fire after an hour’s struggle. Police officials are investigating the matter.
