PML-N gears up to end PTI govt in K-P
Amir Muqam says leadership has decided on bringing in-house change in the assembly
PESHAWAR:
PML-N has finally decided on bringing an in-house change and overthrowing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government in Khyber-Pakhtunkwa.
The provincial leadership said that the PML-N central leadership had turned down a number of parties’ request who wished to form a coalition government in K-P. However, the party had now decided to bring an in-house change.
“We could have formed a PML-N government but respected the PTI mandate. However, PML-N provincial assembly members should gear up for an in-house change and soon there will be a change in the K-P assembly,” PML-N provincial president Amir Muqam told a provincial leadership meeting here on Sunday.
‘PTI persistently engaged in agitation against PML-N’
He stated that an ally of the PTI-led provincial government was sent packing and soon Jamat-e-Islami (JI) members in the provincial cabinet will face the same treatment, adding that the government was already broken and the assembly members too should prepare for a change.
He stated that the court verdict of July 28 proved that Nawaz Sharif was not guilty of corruption and that only the people could disqualify the prime minister. “Let us see who the general public disqualifies in the next general elections,” Muqam told the gathering.
Earlier, K-P PML-N leadership condemned disqualification of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and called it an inside and an international conspiracy.
He told the gathering that it was time to identify hidden powers which always ruled against PML-N, adding that the judiciary was their last hope but even they did not let the prime minister complete his tenure.
He stated that the country was going through the critical stages of its history since conspiracies were being hatched against the country for over 70 years, adding that some national and international elements could not digest a developed Pakistan.
A resolution was also passed by the gathering which demanded of the apex court to review its decisions against the former prime minister and K-P chapter fully supported and endorsed all the decisions taken by the central leadership on July 29.
