The winds don't seem to be in Ranbir Kapoor's favour currently. While Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was a ray of hope for the Bollywood heartthrob, Jagga Jasoos bombed at the box office. And, in times of distress for Ranbir, his Bombay Velvet co-star Anushka Sharma has come to his rescue, reported Business of Cinema.

Did Ranbir Kapoor fly to London to meet a girl?

Film-maker Anurag Kashyap and the leading stars Anushka and Ranbir received a lot of flak for Bombay Velvet. While Anurag seems to have moved past his blunders and Anushka is in a good place too now, Ranbir is still receiving criticism about his regressing career.

Anushka, who has shared screen space with Ranbir in two movies previously and will star opposite him in the upcoming Sanjay Dutt biopic, has turned out to be his true friend during this rough patch.

Speaking about the movie, she said, "What happened to him was unfair. He is one of the best actors we have today. But it's also because Bombay Velvet was Johnny's film more than Rosie's," adding, "I would have been held solely responsible if NH10 had flopped, not because I produced it, but because the film was riding on my shoulders. But, he continues to be targeted also because of the other films he did. I was relatively less affected because I had successful films before and after Bombay Velvet."

Ranbir is indeed a very talented actor and we could not agree more with Anushka!

Apart from Sanjay's biopic, Anushka has a couple more projects on the cards. She will be seen in the upcoming film Pari and a yet-to-be-titled flick alongside Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
