GAROT: Only 39 out of 138 government hospitals have qualified doctors on their staff in the Khushab District.

At present, 99 hospitals are operating without doctors. Kissan board district Khushab president Akhtar Islam Bali said “The people are suffering due to lack of medical care.

They are being treated by nurses rather than doctors and no one is taking any action.”

Bali appealed to the Punjab chief minister to conduct a survey of district headquarters hospitals (DHQs) throughout the province to improve services at the hospitals.
