The constable is accused of sexually harassing a Chinese woman at the Rawalpindi Railway Station
RAWALPINDI:
A local court on Wednesday sent a railway constable, who was accused of sexually harassing a Chinese woman at the Rawalpindi Railway Station, on 14-day judicial remand to Adiala Jail.
The investigators, however, told the court that no evidence of his involvement was found during the investigation. Railway Police arrested the constable after a case was registered against him under the sections of 376, 511 and 342 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
SHO Railway Police Mohammad Javed Jagga said that the Chinese woman was being accompanied by the cop in order to show her the seat she had reserved for her travel from Rawalpindi to Lahore. However, in the meantime, the door of the cabin got closed and the Chinese woman assumed that the cop would make an attempt to rape her.
