Police nab five-member robbers’ gang

The police also seized gold jewellery, mobile phones, laptops and other stolen items from their possession

BAHAWALPUR: Baghdadul Jadeed police claimed to have arrested a gang of robbers during a raid on Wednesday.

The police also confiscated valuables worth millions of rupees from them. A police official told The Express Tribune that under the supervision of Baghdaul Jadeed Police Station SHO Farhan Hussain, a police team raided a hideout and arrested five members of Kashi gang. The culprits were involved in numerous robbery cases in the area.

The accused were identified as Ejaz, Tayyab, Afzal, Zeeshan and Ali Hassan. The police also seized gold jewellery, mobile phones, laptops and other stolen items from their possession.

While speaking to The Express Tribune, SHO Farhan Hussain said, “The arrested criminals were involved in several cases of heinous nature. We have registered a case against the culprits and started interrogation for further disclosures.”
