PESHAWAR: With a focus on energy, the final year engineering students of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Peshawar displayed their projects on Monday.

Graduating students from the Mechanical Engineering Department of UET exhibited 45 projects at a day-long exhibition, ‘Project Exhibition 2017’, at the department.

The exhibition was supervised by the department’s chairman Dr Naeem Khan with assistance from ROTRACT, a student society at the varsity.

While visiting the stalls and inspecting the projects, UET Vice Chancellor Dr Iftikhar Hussain praised the efforts of the graduating students.

He said that such projects reduce the gap between the students and the industry since a number of leading industrialists were also visiting the exhibition.

Dr Hussain termed the event as an important experience for the graduating students since they could directly interact with people from the industry.

The projects prepared by the students were mostly energy-oriented and related to indigenous issues, proposing practical usages for market viability.
