The rulers have been declared ‘Godfather’ in the Supreme Court because of their corruption, PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and senior central leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said while addressing a meeting of the party leaders at their residence.
With one voice, they said the loot, plunder and embezzlement by the rulers had been proven. In the Panamagate probe by the Joint Investigation Team, everyone tried to save themselves, but investigation exposed the ‘piousness’ of the entire family, they added.
Panamagate Case: ‘Judges to give historic judgment’
The two senior leaders accused the rulers of looting money of the nation and the people, labelling as false their claims of being pious.
Comparing their party’s performance in serving the poor people with the PML-N’s, they said it had been proven that the PML-N could do nothing for the poor, while the PML-Q set new records of unparalleled public welfare work when it got the opportunity.
The Chaudhrys claimed that their party selflessly served the people and the nation, while every other day new records of corruption, loot and theft by the ‘Godfathers’ who levelled allegations of corruption against everyone except themselves, were coming to the fore.
They said that had Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif accepted the verdict of the two judges and resigned from office, he, his brother and children would not have been humiliated in the Supreme Court and in front of the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, PML-Q Central General Secretary Tariq Bashir Cheema said, “The PML-Q had been formed to safeguard personal interests as loot and plunder of national and public money have no future.”
Those levelling false allegations against others had themselves been proven national thieves and dacoits, he said.

Cheema, who is also an MNA, took PML-N MNA Daniyal Aziz to task for levelling ‘false’ allegations against everyone and using indecent language.
“Aziz should not forget that his father was the only minister removed on corruption charges,” he said, adding that Aziz should not forget his and his father’s ‘misdeeds’.
He said that the people know his father was a Local Government minister who was thrown out from the cabinet due to misappropriation of funds meant for villages.
“People are fully aware of what Aziz has been doing … his misdeeds are not all that hidden,” he said, adding that after the ‘Godfather’, it was the turn of workers like him.
The meeting was also attended by former federal minister Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, Hussain Elahi, former MPA Abdullah Yousuf Warraich, Saadat Nawaz Ajnala and other leaders.
