ISLAMABAD:
The Senate Standing Committee on National Food Security and Research on Tuesday expressed displeasure over the non-compliance of its instruction and recommendations related to food security and research.

The committee, which was chaired by Senator Syed Muzaffar Shah, directed the concerned official to ensure strict adherence to the committee’s directions in future.

The committee also expressed its displeasure over delays in presenting a report on the latest position of 1,400 acres of land of Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) and a progress report in the case which is pending before the Supreme Court.


Shah directed Islamabad Mayor and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Shiekh Anser Aziz to seek assistance from the Minister on National Food Security and Research and present a report at the earliest.

The committee also discussed different matters related to the food security ministry and its allied departments.
