ISLAMABAD: The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is confident of completing the 24-inch diameter gas pipeline from Shikarpur to Jacobbabad in Sindh by the end of next month, official sources in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources said.

Government hikes Sui field’s gas price

The pipeline, covering a distance of 34 kilometres, is expected to improve natural gas supply to Quetta and other districts of Balochistan. Sources said the company was also executing a number of projects to augment its existing transmission network with eight more gas pipelines being laid in different areas of Sindh and Balochistan.

The eight supply lines, having different sizes, will cover 126 kilometres in various localities of the two provinces, they added.

Government rules out gas price increase from July

Three of the pipelines are spread across different areas of Karachi while the rest are in the interior of Sindh.
