LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed a petition seeking directions to reconstruct the search committees for making appointments of the vice chancellors in three medical universities. Justice Muhammad Farrukh Irfan Khan heard the petition filed by University of Lahore Department of Pathology Head Dr Mulazim Hussain. The petitioner submitted that the Punjab government had advertised posts of the vice chancellors for University of Health Sciences, King Edward Medical University and Fatima Jinnah Medical University. The petitioner submitted that he applied for all the slots being eligible and interviews were being conducted for the purpose from July 15. He alleged that the members of the committee were biased against him. He requested the court to issue directions for reconstitution of the search committees.
