Peshawar blast: Two police officials injured
SHO and his gunman were injured in the attack.
PESHAWAR:
A Station House Officer (SHO) and his gunman were injured after a bomb went off in the busy Shouba Bazaar on Friday, police said.
Officials said that the blast took place in the Rehman Baba Colony area of the Shouba Bazaar in the limits of Khan Raziq Police Station. They said that SHO Abdul Sattar Khattak of the Khan Raziq station was the target.
Officials of the Bomb Disposal Unit said that the explosive device weighed around 500 grams and was packed in an oil canister. The device was detonated with a remote.
The intensity of the blast was such that a crater was created in the carpeted road.
