Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that experts and professionals of the government have found several loopholes in the report the JIT has submitted to the Supreme Court.

"Prime Minister's legal team is going through the report," Dar told media personnel in Islamabad following a high level huddle of the party. "It has several loopholes and errors and has relied on documents of generated nature."

Due these errors, the report has become unreadable at some point, he said, adding "we will highlight these error before the apex court."

JIT suggests filing NAB reference against Sharif family

"Instead of running a parallel court outside the top court and our political rivals need to have patience for our final response." Our rivals must let the system run.

The meeting was held to chalk out the future strategy as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led government struggles to deal with the emergent situation following the submission of a damning report in Supreme Court by a high-powered inquiry panel, which probed the Sharifs’ offshore assets.

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, federal ministers and other party aides, including legal wizards of the prime minister, were in attendance.

The 254-page report found respondents guilty of living beyond means, concealment of facts and being beneficial owners of multiple offshore companies and recommended initiation of reference against the PM and members of the ruling family in the National Accountability Bureau.

This has mounted pressure on PM Nawaz Sharif to resign with mainstream opposition parties, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), strongly demanding him to immediately relinquish premiership

Haris | 7 years ago | Reply JIT has done what was known to the entire nation from decades, but didn't have the means or the platform to prove it all. There is no denial in the JIT report it has become the voice of the nation. The Sharif family should not only be disqualified for life but should be charged with high treason.
