In a meeting of the corporation, chaired by RMC Deputy Mayor Chaudhry Tariq, members approved the proposed fee hikes for parking public transport and private vehicles.

The corporation, however, rejected a proposal to increase charges for using public toilets in different areas of the city.
During the meeting, the RMC also approved different auctions conducted by the corporation to collect fees and taxes in the new fiscal year.
The RMC also approved Rs2.5 million for each member of the corporation to fund development works in their respective union councils.
To boost the annual income of the RMC, the corporation members approved a proposal to charge one per cent of the total price of a property as a tax when such properties are transferred.
The members also approved a motion to increase the fee for slaughtering an animal at its slaughterhouse from Rs15 to Rs25.
As far parking fees for designated parking areas are concerned, the corporation decided to raise the fee from Rs10 to Rs20 for a car or taxi per day. Fee for parking motorbikes would, however, remain at current levels of Rs5.
Regarding public transport, the RMC members approved a proposal to hike parking charges for Suzuki pick up vans from Rs15 to Rs20 per day.

Moreover, parking fee for waggons and minibuses have also been raised from Rs25 to Rs50 for every turn at general bus stands. Moreover, the entry fee for a bus at the General Bus Stand in Pirwadhai has been increased from Rs50 to Rs100.
Fee for rickshaws, meanwhile, has risen from Rs10 to Rs20.
