Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman has advised the masses "to be ready" as the the joint investigation team (JIT) probing the Sharif family's offshore assets presents its report to the Supreme Court on Monday.

"I am asking the nation to remain prepared...," Imran Khan told reporters in Bani Gala, Islamabad on Sunday. "This is a war for the future of the country as the rulers are driving it towards destruction."

"It seems they are aiming for a direct attack on the top court," the PTI chairman said, adding that the premier's name should be put in the Exit Control List. "[The] SC should ask the PM to step down at once."

According to Imran, the PML-N is cognisant that the decision of the court is not going to come in their favour, and therefore has escalated their campaign against the judiciary.

The PTI chairman had earlier said the ruling party were threatening and verbally abusing the probing team after failing to buy its loyalties. He has also called upon the premier to resign until an investigation into the matter is complete.

On Saturday, PML-N leaders said they will not accept any report of the JIT if the former Qatari prime minister version is not made part of the probe. According to them, the team should have travelled to Doha to record his statements.

The two letters of the prince were presented in the Supreme Court last year to substantiate the money trail of the offshore assets.

The leaders also demanded that the entire proceedings of the JIT, including the audio and video recordings, be made public.

On the face it after reading the gist of the report as I have read above, to me, there are more minus points than plus points against PM Nawaz which could certainly please Imran Khan who is the only one to dare to initiate investigation against the omnipotent PM Nawaz but I must pronounce it loudly that yet none but Supreme Court of Pakistan is to decide the fate of PM Nawaz who along with his younger brother, children, cousin and others called in by JIT for question-answer sessions must not be enjoying sound sleep for many weeks if not months to be honest. However, I very sincerely wish and pray that irrespective of the SC verdict which could be against or favoring PM Nawaz both Imran and PM Nawaz should not create any law and order situation and there should not any agitation, strike or procession so that the peace is not disturbed and both human life and properties are safe, inshaallah, otherwise we as a nation are doomed.
