Appeal: Scholars urged to denounce terrorists

Langarial urges religious scholars to denounce people committing terrorism acts in name of religion.

VEHARI: PPP divisional information secretary Samina Langarial has urged the religious scholars to denounce people who were committing terrorism acts in the name of religion. I

n a press statement on Thursday, she said the religious scholars needed to spread awareness about these elements so that the youth did not fall prey to their propaganda.

She said Islam prohibited killing innocent people.

She said history would never forgive the religious scholars and politicians if they did not come clean about their stance on terrorism and extremism.
