Kashmiris have the right of self determination against Indian atrocities, ISPR quotes Gen Qamar as saying

News Desk July 08, 2017

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa paid tribute on Saturday to the famed Hizb-ul-Mujahideen leader Burhan Wani, saying the sacrifices are a testimony of their resolve.

The famed youth leader and an icon of the freedom movement in held Kashmir was killed by the occupying forces on July 8 last year, leading to a surge in the calls for separation. The dwellers of the held valley are commemorating the death of the slain leader to express their right to self determination.

"Kashmiris have right of self determination. Sacrifices of Burhan Wani and generations against Indian atrocities are a testimony of their resolve," the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) DG said on Twitter.

Pakistan and India have been on a tense standoff with an upsurge in ceasefire violations and bloodshed in occupied Kashmir. Pakistan has been calling for a halt to the use of brute force and pellet guns in the valley to bring the situation to normalcy.

Shaukat ali | 6 years ago | Reply Typical mindless arguments from Indians and fake westerners with actual Indian identities. The reality on the surface will never change. Those people in hijacked and kidnapped territory of Kashmir don't want to be part of India regardless of How many of their young you slaughter or how many of their women you rape with impunity. Pakistan doesn't need a lesson in pseudo intellectuality from criminals who kill for fun. This is not about Pakistan or Baluchistan or any other distraction you want to throw around. This is between government of India and the future independent state of Kashmir.
