Security official shot dead in Quetta

Unidentified armed men open fire on Balochistan Constabulary's Khuda Buksh near the city's Killis Ismail area

QUETTA: A Balochistan Constabulary (BC) official was shot dead in Quetta’s Killi Ismail area on Friday.

Police said official Khuda Buksh was on the way to a mosque near his house when unidentified armed men opened fire, killing him on the spot.

Rescue workers and police reached the incident site, and shifted the body to Civil Hospital for examination after death.

While investigation is continuing, no group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
