FATA reforms to be introduced soon

Governor said peace has been restored in major parts of the tribal areas.

ISLAMABAD: Governor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Barrister Masood Kausar said constitutional reforms would soon be initiated in Fata. Talking to a private radio channel, the governor said peace has been restored in major parts of the tribal areas with the support and efforts of the locals and law enforcement agencies. He said the present security situation is better than the past. “People and government want peace because security is essential for developmental,” he said and added, “we want to accelerate the speed of developmental projects in the area and not waste more time.” Barrister Masood said, “We have completed our homework on the Fata reforms. We want to end deprivation of the tribal people and bring them at par with the people of other areas of the country.”
