Roadside stalls cleared along IJP Road in capital

During the operation, 30 kanals land was retrieved from illegal occupants

ISLAMABAD: As part of its ongoing anti-encroachment drive, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has cleared encroachment along the busy IJP Road in the capital. The operation also helped retrieve government-owned land.

After Islamabad Mayor and CDA Chairman Sheikh, Anser Aziz directed CDA’s Enforcement Directorate to gear up their anti-encroachment drive in the city a gigantic operation was carried out along the IJP Road in the presence of a magistrate and a heavy contingent of police.

During the operation, the staff of the directorate removed several fixed and moveable encroachment on the Rawalpindi side of IJP Road opposite Sector I-12.

During this operation, 30 kanals land was retrieved from illegal occupants.

Moreover, at least two wood stalls, two construction material depots, two fruit stalls, 20 shanties, three cabins, seven auto workshops and an illegally constructed store for old vehicles and spare parts were demolished using heavy machinery.
