QUETTA: A leader of Balochistan National Party (BNP) was gunned down on Thursday along with his guard on Quetta’s Arbab Khan Road.

Malik Naveed Dehwar was traveling in his car when unidentified men opened fire at him, killing the political leader and his gunman. Another gunman of the BNP leader sustained injuries during the attack.

Two Hazara community members gunned down in Quetta

The victims were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta where the deceased gunman was identified as Zaheer Khan and the injured as Abdul Samad.

No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack thus far.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Health Minister Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch narrowly escaped a rocket attack in the Prome area of Panjgur District Thursday morning.
