The premier's statement came during the Quadrilateral Session of Casa-1000 conference in Dushanbe. The conference was attended by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Radio Pakistan reported.

The project will reduce the energy deficit, create jobs, improve trade and reduce carbon dioxide emissions with the benefits of supply of clean energy, the premier was quoted as saying.
PM Nawaz said the project will also help build stronger regional cooperation between countries which lack energy resources. On the progress of the project, the prime minister said tenders for transmission lines from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan and from Tajikistan to Afghanistan have been floated and are currently being evaluated.
A trilateral meeting of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan will also be held to discuss regional security and other issues of mutual understanding in days to come.
No load-shedding after 2018, says Nawaz
Earlier on Wednesday, PM Nawaz arrived in Dushanbe on a two-day visit in a bid to boost bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. The premier was received by the Tajikistan Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzada along with the cabinet ministers at the Dushanbe international airport. A high-level delegation, including federal ministers and officials, is also accompanying the PM.
