The BISE has also introduced an online retotalling system through which any student can submit an online application without having to visit the board.
Previously, when the BISE announced the result, students checked it the following day in the result book available at book shops and other places with each student having to fork out Rs50 to Rs100.
Similarly, the students visited boards for retotalling where they had to wait in a long queue for hours as the BISE could not properly manage the high number of students due to a shortage of staff.
For the facilitation of both students and the board, the BISE initiated three new systems - sending results on mobiles of students through messages free of cost, applying online for retotalling and receiving details of marks sheet on the results day from their respective schools and colleges.
According to the BISE Peshawar documents, only in case of any change in marks sheet would the student have to visit the board along with the original bank receipt and the previous DMC for obtaining a new one.
About the online procedure for retotalling marks, the documents revealed that a fee of Rs500 per paper would have to be deposited in the nearest Allied Bank before submitting the online application. After depositing the fee, the student should visit the official website of BISE and fill the online retotalling form.
Talking to The Express Tribune, BISE Peshawar Chairman Prof Dr Fazlur Rehman said, “In order to inform students about the new initiatives, the board circulated two messages on 150,000 mobile numbers of students today [Monday].”
