LAHORE: A comprehensive strategy must be devised to improve facilities at cardiac units of tertiary care hospitals, stressed Secretary Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Najam Ahmed Shah.
Govt to set up a cardiac institute

He was presiding over a meeting on Saturday to take steps to improve the work of Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC). The aim of the moot was to talk about introducing cardiac units at teaching hospitals by providing support for logistics, human resources and medical equipment.
For the first time: Online National Registry for Cardiac Stent introduced

He further directed officials to improve treatment facilities at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology by reducing the workload on the medical facility. The secretary asked them to form a committee to prepare recommendations.
