Cricket: Crowe quits NZ committee

WELLINGTON: Former New Zealand captain Martin Crowe has stepped down from the country’s cricket board’s committee citing conflicts of interest. He clarified said his decision was not in any way linked to New Zealand Cricket’s delay in naming Daniel Vettori’s successor as the team’s captain. “It’s got nothing to do with that indecision”. He joined as a non-Board member of the committee the aim of which was to provide recommendations to the NZC after the team’s disastrous show in the One-Day International series in Bangladesh.
