AJK people mark Jummatul Wida as day of prayer

MIRPUR:
People across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) observed Jummatul-Wida, the last Friday of Ramazan as Youme Dua or the day of prayer throughout the liberated state to pray for early success of the Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle against Indian occupation.

Call for observing the Youme Dua was given by the Prime Minister Farooq Haider aimed to show solidarity with the Kasmiri brethren fighting for the freedom of the homeland from the forced and unlawful Indian subjugation.

Special prayers were offered in small and major mosques, grounds and public places in the capital city of Muzaffarabad besides all district and tehsil headquarters, small and major towns and villages.


The rallies were largely attended by civil society including social, political and human rights activists, lawyers, journalists, members of the business fraternity, government employees, taken out to reiterate complete solidarity with the freedom-loving valiant brethren of occupied Jammu Kashmir in their struggle for liberation from Indian bondage.

Addressing the rallies, speakers expressed complete solidarity, love and affection and condemned the increased human rights abuses.

The rallies passed through major streets and culminate at the site of its origin with the special prayer for the early success of the Kashmir freedom movement.
