MULTAN:

A court issued arrest warrants of a principal of a private medical college after he failed to appear before the judicial magistrate during the hearing of illegal weapons case on Friday.

The court issued warrants against Dr Shabbir Nasir and directed the police to present the accused before the court on July 6, 2017.

Earlier, Muhammad Azeem filed a petition in the court in which he stated that his daughter got admission in Multan Medical and Dental College. He said that they submitted the fee but she was rusticated from the college due to unknown reasons.

He added, “When I protested against the decision and demanded the administration to refund the fee, Principal Shabbir Nasir called the police and accused me of possessing illegal weapon and threatening the staff.”

However, Azeem maintained, “The principal’s allegations proved wrong but the police did not take action against him.”
