Over 900 cases of robberies, murders, abduction registered
Police data show cases of murder and robberies decline in the metropolis

Anti-Organised Crime Cell claimed to have challanned 609 of total 948 cases of robberies, blind murder and abduction. However, the scourge of crimes in the metropolis has witnessed a surge in the current year.
SP CIA Tariq Mastoi said as many as 339 out of total 948 cases were under investigations. The solved cases included a case of murder-cum-abduction for ransom in which suspect had killed a victim Aman Qamar.
Four cases of robbery-cum-murder solved by CIA included; case of Abid Mehmood in Green Town, Khuram Khalil in Islampura, Tanzeel, Amjad Pervaiz, Farhan, Abbass and Salim in Millar Park and Muhammad Wajid in Kahna.
Police claim to have solved case of Uber driver's murder in Karachi
The other solved cases included seven cases of mugging, 347 of robbery, 20 vehicle snatching, 70 vehicle lifting, 173 theft and three police encounters.
The police also arrested 118 suspected members of 34 gangs, 182 proclaimed offenders, and recovered 55 million rupees from their custody.
Mastoi said they would keep on their fight against crime alive at any cost.
