KARACHI: Nine people died in incidents of target killing in Karachi on Wednesday.

Unidentified gunmen opened fire at a jeep in Saddar killing one passenger, and injuring another, while In one person was killed in Orangi town after being fired upon by motorcyclists.

Two other men were killed after being kidnapped from Orangi Town and Landhi areas.

Police and Rangers are patrolling various parts of the city to keep the situation under control.

Meanwhile ANP workers staged a protest  near the governor house in Karachi earlier in the day, against the killing of their party workers and what they called the 'return of target killing' to Karachi.

As they forcefully tried to enter past the barricades put up near the governor house, a scuffle broke out between the workers and the security personnel.

The police fired tear-gas on the protestors to stop them from entering the area. No one was seriously injured in the clash.

ANP workers asserted that if the Sindh Government did not take action, they would have to take matters into their own hands.
