Security forces claimed to have seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunition during intelligence-based operations in South and North Waziristan.

“Security forces recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition from village Maidankai of South Wazirstan Agency and village Zarkai  of North Waziristan Agency,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Wednesday.

The recovered items, according to the military’s media wing, include LMGs, SMGs, grenades, rifles, pistols, explosive boxes, rockets of RPG 7, and anti-personnel mines, among others.

The raid was conducted as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, new military offensive launched against “latent threat of terrorism” in February this year.
