Man attacks people with shoe horn at London mosque

There are no reports of anyone being injured

According to Metropolitan Police, a man was tasered after attacking people with a shoe horn at a London mosque.

Around 1:20 am, the police were called in and found a man waving an item which happened to be a shoe horn taken from the mosque. The incident took place outside Regents Park mosque.

After being tasered, the man was arrested and taken into custody at the central London police station.

According to the Mirror, a witness said the man, who was aged in his 30s, came to the entrance of the mosque and began "shouting abuse and threats".

“The item being waved was found to be a shoe horn taken from the mosque. The incident is not being treated as terrorism-related at this time. Officers are keeping an open mind regarding any motivation for the incident,” said a Met Police spokesperson.

He further added that there were no reports of anyone being injured.
