In his video message on Twitter, Akhtar also advised Sarfraz to send Shoaib Malik ahead of Mohammad Hafeez to bat.
He added that chasing a 300-plus score against India was achievable as other teams had done so.

He told the Pakistan team that it did not matter if they win the match or not, the fans would continue to support the men in green.
"I have never prayed so much even when I was playing like I am doing so now for you guys. The whole nation is praying for you," he added.
Akhtar said nobody had thought Pakistan would make it to this stage of the tournament. "And now Pakistan will make history."
